Gary Stevenson was born and raised in Ohio.  He is a graduate of STEVENSON-GARY2Capital University (1978) and has his Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio (1982).  Ordained in October 1982, he has served congregations in Minnesota and California.  In addition, he has served Outdoor Ministry (Camping and Retreat Ministry) positions in Texas and California.  Pastor Gary is married to Corrine (1985) and they have two grown daughters; Katherine (Katie) and Ariana.  Pastor Gary and Corrine enjoy good movies, time spent relaxing, traveling and time with family.

Adam Knudson grew up in Fresno, California and graduated from Edison High School. He then attended Whitworth College, in Spokane, Washington where he received a B.A. in Spanish Literature. Following college, Adam returned to Fresno where he attended the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree with a diploma in Presbyterian studies. He was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2007. He is married to Andrea and they have a busy home with sons Jeremiah and Samuel and daughters Alexandra and Olivia. Adam enjoys soccer, music, attending sporting events, spending time with family and hanging out with youth and young adults. In ministry Adam is passionate about missions as an essential characteristic of the church. Adam came to work at Hope in February 2007.

Michael Rogers (Visitation Pastor) • Contact via email

Michael Rogers is a native Californian and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. He attended Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley and was ordained into the LCA in 1970. Mike served congregations in Antioch, Bakersfield, Fresno and Kerman. He is married (1966) to Linda who worked as a middle school teacher. After retirement in 2007 they served as volunteer missionaries in Slovakia teaching English and religion. They joined Hope in 2009 and have been involved in the Food Pantry, Choir, Bible study and Linda has served on the Church Council.

As Visitation Pastor it is Mike’s goal to make sure that homebound members and friends of Hope feel included in the ministry and life of the congregation. Health or circumstances may make their presence at worship and other activities difficult, but their prayers and concerns are very important and appreciated.
